Title

SPHEREx Quick Release Spectral Images - QR3

Description

SPHEREx is a NASA Astrophysics Medium Explorer mission that launched in March 2025 to obtain 0.75–5 micron spectroscopy over the entire sky, including deeper data in the SPHEREx Deep Fields. SPHEREx Quick Release Spectral Images are Level 2 calibrated data products.

SPHEREx Quick Release 3 (QR3) spectral image data were first released in September 2026. QR3 spectral image data are drawn from the mission’s third and fourth full-sky surveys. Compared with QR2, QR3 data incorporate substantially improved point-spread function (PSF) and other calibrations that improve the reliability of photometry derived from the spectral images.

This dataset or service is made available by the Infrared Science Archive (IRSA) at IPAC, which is operated by the California Institute of Technology under contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
