Title

IRTF Spectral & Extended Spectral Libraries

Description

The Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) Spectral Library is a collection of 0.8-5.0 um mostly stellar spectra observed at a resolving power of R ~ 2000 with the medium-resolution spectrograph, SpeX, at the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) on Mauna Kea.

The IRTF Extended Spectral Library is a collection of 0.7-2.5 um mostly stellar spectra observed at a resolving power of R ~ 2000 with the medium-resolution spectrograph, SpeX, at the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) on Mauna Kea. It expands the metallicity coverage of the original IRTF Spectral Library (Rayner et al. 2009) from mainly solar metallicity to -1.7 < [Fe/H] < 0.3.

This dataset or service is made available by the Infrared Science Archive (IRSA) at IPAC, which is operated by the California Institute of Technology under contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
