The Dawn spacecraft was captured by the gravitational field of dwarf planet Ceres on March 6 . Before arrival in orbit around Ceres, Dawn already acquired images during the approach phase using the Framing Camera (FC) clear and color filters allowing the team to create preliminary maps of the surface. In this talk, I will present the Dawn FC instrument, the images obtained so far and show the geologic features that are already identifiable. I will show how Ceres looks through the FC color filters and compare it to maps acquired by the Hubble Space Telescope.
