title: Local Volume Legacy (LVL): Dust Properties and PAHs in Nearby Galaxies Abstract: I present results on the global dust properties from the Local Volume Legacy (LVL) galaxy sample using panchromatic broadband imaging (FUV-optical-IR). Mid-IR observations of low-luminosity galaxies have shown reduced polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) emission which has been attributed to hindered PAH formation in low-metallicity environments. However, other studies have found harder/more intense UV radiation fields in these galaxies which may result in destruction of these small dust grains. Using Spitzer IRAC4 fluxes centered on a strong PAH emission line (8 microns), I investigate the variation of PAH emission in a wide range of metallicities and radiation field intensities.
