Abstract
We have conducted a search for cold debris disks around M-dwarfs at lambda= 1.2 mm by imaging the fields of more than 50 targets with the bolometer array MAMBO at the IRAM 30m radiotelescope. By combining with other recent surveys conducted with MIPS/Spitzer and SCUBA/JCMT, we establish that the detection rate of cold debris disks around M-dwarfs is 4.8 (+3.0/-2.6) %, which is lower than for solar and A-type dwarfs for the same level of sensitivity (fractional dust luminosity 10-5 - 10-4). We shall discuss mechanisms that may imped formation or survival of debris disks around M-dwarfs.
