If any input line contains an invalid entry (e.g. l0.O instead of 10.0), the entry will be flagged and has to be corrected. If not, the line will be flagged again, when trying to use the outputfile as an inputfile.

The outputfile of an AOT 7 inputfile contains the line not yet merged are observations. The numbers following this statement refer to the observation requests for which it still is possible to add a counterpart in the other SWS region (either SW grating or LW Fabry-Pérot) without increasing the total observation time.

As with the original inputfile, when re-using the outputfile as an inputfile, the lines between AOT_NBR and START_DATA will not we written to the new outputfile.
