READCOBE: To Display COBE/DIRBE Weekly Sky Map Data

NAME
readcobe - displays COBE/DIRBE weekly averaged sky surface brightness as
a function of solar elongation angle at the user specified
                position and wavelength.

SYNOPSIS
     readcobe ra dec wavelength

(*** see the note below ***)

DESCRIPTION
READCOBE displays a list of sky surface brightnesses (MJy/sr) at various
     solar elongation angles (degrees) at the user specified position (ra, dec;
in degrees, J2000.0) and wavelength (wavelength; in micron).

The data are extracted from COBE/DIRBE Weekly Sky Maps which provide
weekly-averaged surface brightness in each of 10 wavelength bands:
     1.25, 2.2, 3.5, 4.9, 12, 25, 60, 100, 140, and 240 microns, as a function
     of Solar Elongation angle.

The output from this tool is a table with the following columns:

If your input wavelength is one of the DIRBE bands:
Column (1) -- Solar elongation angle in degrees.
Column (2) -- Surface brightness in MJy/sr at the input wavelength.
Column (3) -- Std. deviation in MJy/sr for Column (2).

If your input wavelength is between two of the DIRBE bands:
Column (1) -- Solar elongation angle in degrees.
Column (2) -- Surface brightness in MJy/sr in DIRBE band No. 1
Column (3) -- Surface brightness in MJy/sr in DIRBE band No. 2
Column (4) -- Surface brightness in MJy/sr at the input wavelength,
which is an interpolation between DIRBE bands 1 and 2.
Column (5) -- Std. deviation in MJy/sr for Column (4).

OPTIONS
     None

EXAMPLES
     Display COBE/DIRBE SB at 25um at (RA, Dec) = (315.0, 30.0):

	    readcobe 315.0 30.0 25.0

NOTES
