KAMPHOT

  1. KAMPHOT performs best when point source images are properly subsampled. Therefore, the first way to improve the psf-fitting photometry is to ensure that proper telescope offsets between frames are used at the telescope.

  2. KAMPHOT was run with the June 1994 data using a single, average psf applied to each point source. Seeing variations and slight focus shifts, among other effects, can alter the psf during the night. The production version of KAMPHOT will characterize the psf for each scan to be processed, and thus should provide slightly improved photometry.
