Preliminary results are shown for a survey of known proper motion stars lying within the 200-square-degree area of the 2MASS protocamera survey. Tests useful in discriminating between various types of red objects are also described. Finally, a report is given for a small area of sky where J, H, and K from the 2MASS protocamera are merged with B and R data from the POSS-I survey.
