Software Resources - SWS IA

The SWS-IA, also known as "IA3", is a software package based on IDL which has the capability to (re)process ERD into SPD and AAR products using IDL command-line functions and scripts. SWS-IA also has many routines to assist with analysis of SWS data in its various stages of reduction.

Thanks to the kind permission and assistance of the SWS Instrument Dedicated Team, most notably Rik Huygen (KU, Leuven, Belgium), Danny Boxhoorn, and Pjotr Roelfsema (SRON, Groningen, The Netherlands), the SWS IA package (IA3) is installed and configured for usage by ISO visitors at IPAC.

Since SWS-IA is currently available only at ISO science/data centers in Europe and at IPAC, if you are a U.S. astronomer and would like to use SWS-IA, please schedule a visit (onsite or remote) to IPAC. Its computer resource requirements in terms of CPU and virtual memory are quite extensive, so sessions must be scheduled.

The following notes are based on material kindly suppplied by D Kunze, D. Lutz, E. Sturm and M. Thornley at the ISO Spectrometer Data Centre at MPE Garching.
