Shortcut to ISO Reduction Recipes

These recipes are written by the ISO instrument scientists residing at IPAC (except for SWS) and can also be found under the IPAC ISO web pages for the individual instruments. The recipes are meant to supplement and complement the ISO Data Center (ESAC) ISO Handbook which includes the individual instrument volumes.

LWS:

Data Reduction
Three of the LWS observing modes are included: the grating modes LWS01 and LWS02, as well as one of the Fabry-Perot modes, LWS04. If source strength is critical to the analysis, there are separate recipes that depend on source flux.

LIA (Interactive Analysis)
The LIA software package includes inspection routines, interactive routines, and calibration routines to aid the observing in reducing LWS datasets.

SWS:

Data Reduction
These SWS routines have been written by the ISO SWS Support Group at MPI für extraterrestriche Physik, Garching. The four observing modes of SWS are covered in these recipes.

PHT:

Data Reduction
A preparation for data reduction summary is provided along with checklists for the following PHT observing modes:

CAM:

Data Reduction
Overview of software available for CAM data reduction as well as IPAC's 'quick reference card' for CAM reductions.

ISAP:

ISAP Home Page
ISAP is the ISO Spectral Analysis Package, a software package developed specifically to help observers reduce and analyze ISO spectral datasets. Many of the LWS and SWS recipes involve use of ISAP.
