Question: Is the noise referred to in
the HIFI AORs a 1 sigma noise? 5 sigma?
Answer:
It is close to 1-sigma. It is more exactly
the rms of the residual of a base-lined spectrum as determined
by the System Temperature, the integration time and the Allen Noise.
